Sorry for the long silence, but so much has happened this summer and everyone has been insanely busy. Suaka is working on some new songs and looking forward to playing some shows sometime soon. Thanks to the good people at Colectivo Bunka, we were on the radio in Colombia this past weekend! You can hear the podcast here here, and check out the text of the interview on their Wave blog.

Colectivo Bunka is a very cool organization, with the unusual mission of promoting Asian music in Colombia and throughout Latin America. They have a tv show, a radio show on Saturday afternoons, and a blog, and if you explore their website a bit you will find that they have done interviews with a number of other New York-based bands as well as with our friends RE-OG from Los Angeles.

We knew it was a good sign when we saw Iron Maiden’s plane at the airport, and Bali did not disappoint. Twice Bar was packed, and everyone had a truly rockin’ evening.

Thanks to Cepi for playing kendang; Dodix, Jerinx, and everyone at Twice Bar for making it happen; Devildice and Mom’s Day for rocking the stage with us; and all the screaming fans!
